The Fairport Harbor Friends of the Library meet the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Library. If the first Monday of the month falls on a holiday or a day when the Library is closed they meet on the second Monday of the month.
What does the "Friends" organization do?
Friends serve as "connecting links" between the Library and community, interpreting one to the other.
Individually and collectively, Friends use their influence to assist the library in obtaining desired financial support, representing the Library point of view to legislators and the media.
Friends supplement what cannot be provided by the Library budget with funds, materials, equipment and services. Friends decide how to spend their money after conferring with the Library Director and Library Board of Trustees.
Friends encourage greater use of libraries and support the Library in developing services for the community.
The organization is looking for committed members to help plan and organize community programs, organizational meetings, fundraising activities, book sales, library promotional activities and volunteer programs!
Membership forms are available at the Library.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
